8 May 2007, New York: "sun21's" arrival and World Clean Energy Awards

The solar catamaran "sun21" will be solemnly received in New York City on 8 May 2007. At the same occasion, the 2007 winners of the World Clean Energy Award will be announced. World Clean Energy Awards was developed by the Swiss-based Transatlantic21 Association to honor mainstream applications of Clean Energy in seven categories:

The program will set new standards for applying clean energy solutions and alternatives, moving from experimental and scientific to integrated, broad use of these technologies.

Potential award winners will be nominated by the following institutions:


On 8 May 2007, the 2007 jury will convene in New York to select the winners from the nominees identified by the nominating institutions. The jury is comprised of distinguished leaders and experts in various areas of scientific and societal study related to energy efficiency and sustainability.
